Disappearing Backgrounds!
Some of you are wondering where on earth your page background has disappeared to. If you aren't, well just ignore this. Some of you now have a "This content is private" message over a white background being displayed as your background rather than your usual photo. To see if this is happening on your page, logout and visit your page as a guest. If it's not a problem, then you have nothing to worry about.

For those of you who are missing your background, here's how to fix the problem!

Go to your Library and locate the folder that your background and image headers are in. This folder is probably marked private. Click the folder title and the settings will appear in the right column (see below).

If your folder says Private here, click the change link and set it to Public. The folder with your background images must be public in order for your background and headers to be viewed on your page. This should solve the disappearing background problem if you're having it! Post questions if you need further help : )

I have a problem opening the home page and getting any further. I can open a new account but not use my old one. This is just basic stuff, but I am not a techie.

I am not sure if this has to do with this but, I am posting my blog and I write a something in the "read more link" space and then put either text or a photo for the rest of the body. Then when I go back to edit the body later, no text box appears under the link threw body section and nothing allows me to update it. But, when viewed as a guest you can view the link. What is wrong with it?

Hi there-

If you go back to your Blog library and click Edit next to the post, are you seeing text or pictures in the 2nd large box labeled Body? If you have nothing in there, your "read more" text will not display anything after it. The read more link is working for me if I click on it on your blog, but then nothing displays after which makes me think nothing has been entered into the Body section. Let me know if you're still having trouble!

@ozcillator and aceacrimony-we're working on a solution for this guys. We know people like to have their background hidden in their regular photo folder. For now at least your headers are hidden in your photo library, and we're working on doing the same for the BG. : )

I agree with ozcillator.

so now that these folders are public, guests get to see all the scrap matter in my folders when they click on any media widget thumbnal because it takes them to that famous UBER theater that basically displays everything in my folders in random order. THIS DOES NOT MAKE SENSE.

I'm having trouble with the background. I used to have a simple black color swatch on it. Now it has reverted to the first thing I tried when I created my page--using an image (which can't be found, but rightly so because I deleted it a long time ago as I'm not using it). I want it back to being all black but the background edit function isn't replacing the non-existent image. I hope that makes sense...Any suggestions?
