How to Build a Website on Uber

On Uber you can easily build pages and link them together into a website. Use our one-step publishing tools to design a photo gallery, slideshow or video page and for those of you who are really creative, try the blank canvas to start from scratch. Once you've made all of your pages, you can link them together into a website. There's no limit to the number of pages you can make, so try a few things out and see what works best for you.

Building your pages

There are two options for creating pages and they can both be found in the Create tab.

You can make a photo gallery, slideshow or video page using the one-step publishing tools and get a new page instantly. This is the easiest way to get a great-looking page using Uber's unique themes. But don't worry, you can always customize it too.

You can also create a completely customized page with the blank canvas option. This is the more advanced option of the two, but it gives you the freedom to design any type of page you like.

Once you have created all of your pages, you are now ready to link them together into a website.

How do I edit my photos once i have added them? Some of them need to be rotated?

We have a photo app built-in on Uber that you can use. It's from Picnik. We're experiencing a bug w/ it right now but as soon as it's up and running again, here's how you use it:

In your library-double click on the photo you want to edit and then click the Edit Image button. This will launch the editor. When done making changes, click the save a copy button and the new one will be saved to your library as a copy!

i chose a theme (lightroom in photography) when i first signed up, but i can't find where to change it now that i've made a page? when i go to customise and then click themes, it's nothing like what was there at the start. help please?
Aug 13, 2008 6:41 PM
Hi there-we are working on syncing up our themes right now. We will be adding this feature into the Settings pages in the next couple days actually. Until then I wouldn't try changing the theme of your page, or I would just make a new one if you're using a standard template.

I am having trouble getting back to the begining where you organize the page. Can someone please help me?

What would you like to change on your page? To locate the page go to My Pages, then you can choose from options there. Use Settings to change page settings or add more photos. Use Customize to edit the look of the page

how can I rotate photos??? They're the right way in my computer but when I import they turn sideways??
Aug 08, 2008 2:33 PM
Hi there-

What program are you using to rotate your photos on your computer? I've noticed that when using iPhoto if I rotate my pics, the changes are only displayed on my computer, not once I put them online. So maybe you're having the same issue.
Let me know!

Hi,

It's the first time I ever think about a personal blog or website, so I'm kind of new to the stuff. And I was wondering, after I click the publishing button, is it possible to go back and edit it?
Aug 11, 2008 11:39 AM
Yes it is. sometimes you can press the back arrow after you have pressed it and make changes again.
